This past week we were so blessed with the work that Cornerstone Ministries brought us in Haiti! Click here to read more about the many ways this large team blessed the people of Haiti while here.
After a long day of travel and a late arrival at Pastor Henoc's house the team went right to bed on Sunday night. Monday morning they were ready to go, splitting up into two groups. One group was going to stay at Pastor Henoc's house in Berard and work on the construction of the roof and windows for a widow in Pastor Henoc's community. The other half went in to Cap Haitien to set up rooms for their medical clinic. On Tuesday the clinic opened and the people of Cap were waiting! They started at 9 am and were able to see and treat around 100 people! From Tuesday through Friday they saw 611 patients. Praise be to God for their hard work and competent minds. The team was able to run tests and prescribe much needed medicine as well as even provide some financial support to those that needed it.
God has been good and has provided allowing the people of the Cornerstone Missions team to have done great things for the glory of His kingdom. The people of Haiti have been blessed by their presence and we look forward to having them come back again!
UPDATE on 8/7/14 : Cornerstone Ministries has finished up with their large team. The last members left and the final numbers are in. Here are a few updated accomplishments of their trip. They were able to provide Creole Bibles for 90 people, paid rents and school tuitions, gave and bought shoes, clothing and hygiene supplies, and even paid for a woman's eye surgery. They visited families surrounding the College Susan Schuenke and they fed 66 families with rice, beans and oil. These families have food for about 2-3 weeks now. The most important thing about that mission team is that 2 people accepted Christ as a result of personal invitation by 2 of the team members. Praise be to God for the amazing work that the people of Cornerstone Ministries have accomplished in Haiti!
